IPM Manager YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this role, Integrated Pest Management Manager (IPM), are to:
Lead/Supervise IPM team members, collaborate with site teams and business functions on best practices, continuous improvement opportunities and production challenges; Oversee and deliver program requirements related to integrated pest management (IPM) on site; Drive the implementation and adoption of new initiatives and policy changes; Be proficient and demonstrate expertise of pesticide related programs such as WPS, RCRA, FIFRA; Participate in IPM and site production meetings; Be responsible for ensuring teams adherence to Bayer's Health Safety Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards and State and Federal Regulations including but not limited to all OSHA, FIFRA, RCRA and WPS requirements; Develop, review, update and comply with internal procedures including Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practice Documents; Lead the development of the IPM team and in hiring and onboarding of new team members; Collaborate with IPM and Maintenance teams to verify equipment is properly calibrated and in working order; Be responsible for ensuring training activities around IPM tasks and workflows on site including but not limited to JSA documents, SOPs, hands on trainings for scouting, WPS Worker and Handler trainings, and other safety trainings are completed and documented; Oversee physical and digital product inventory by working with IPM team forecasting supply needs, ordering product, maintaining records, inventory tracking and waste management practices; Review scouting data, analyze pest and disease trends, document pest and disease pressures to make greenhouse solution decisions, determine an application plan with the IPM team, and participate in application approval process; Be responsible for creation and oversight of pesticide application work orders; Be responsible for safety in handling and storage of pesticides, vehicle and equipment used in IPM; Assist with weekly scouting targets and pesticide applications as needed; Actively participate in committees and project teams related to internal statewide IPM, HSE and agronomy programs, and bring enhancements or updates to local IPM teams; Plan, coordinate training to ensure technical competency on the operation of agricultural equipment including but not limited to tractors, pesticide application equipment (field or greenhouse); Collaborate with vendors to bring new knowledge and expertise to IPM team; Lead end of season reviews for the IPM program; set and track KPIs, analyze metrics, summarize performance results; Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual).
This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties - regardless of mileage.

Bachelor's degree; Valid Driver's License:
Driving record (MVR) will be reviewed and must meet guidelines based on the company's Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers.
Ability to lift up to 60lbs; Have or have the ability to obtain a valid Hawaii Department of Agriculture Private Pesticide Applicator's license/certification within 90 days from date of hire; Hold, maintain and actively use valid Private Pesticide Applicator's license/certification throughout the duration of the role; Ability to work extended hours during peak operational seasons; Ability to balance and prioritize tasks; Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team-based environment; Proficient operation of computers and mobile devices; Experience with both standard MS Office computer and software systems used in scientific data analysis, with ability to quickly learn new software programs and tools; Operational knowledge of IT (Internet, Microsoft Office, mobile apps, data base platforms); Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to listen; Ability to work without direct supervision in a diverse team environment.
Preferred
Qualifications:
7 plus years of relevant experience; Master's degree in Agronomy, Life Sciences or related field; Certified Crop Advisor or Certified Professional Agronomist certification; Knowledge and experience with agricultural equipment and row crop production practices and history of leveraging that knowledge in a research or production environment; Experience with seed industry; Experience with precision agriculture hardware and software; History of implementation of continuous improvements and new innovations through the work on project teams; Good mechanical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills; Experience in influencing, leading and/or developing people either as direct reports or in project-based environment.
Domestic relocation may be provided for this role.
