IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC)

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
You must possess one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
In addition to the above experience demonstrating the four competencies above, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GG/GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:
1) Responsibility for all command/organization computer infrastructures including procurement and configuration of all IT systems; 2) Supervising the life cycle management of all IT assets including the proper disposition of all computer hardware equipment; 3) Programming the command/organizations budget requirement and requesting higher echelon funding for unfunded special projects; 4) Overall responsibility for the programming, acquisition and installation of all IT equipment including associated hardware and software application systems; and, 5) Collaborating with various stakeholders including customers in the planning and execution of IT initiatives, and advises the leadership on resolving issues affecting timely completion of IT infrastucture projects. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
